Echo Flow consists of two 4' square infinity mirrors. Each is about 3" deep and has a 20x20 LED net suspended inside of them. The frames are custom made from wood to give a clean look with a sturdy base, which helps prevent the acrylic window from bowing too much.
I have the LED matrix connected to an external WLED controller that's being fed RGB data over DDP from a computer running TouchDesigner. The WLED controller allows me to easily control more light sources than just the infinity mirrors. I have all of the lights mapped out in TouchDesigner allowing me to custom map multiple stage light sources in 3D using a custom lighting tool I wrote. I'm using a MIDI controller to be able to play with the visuals in realtime.
I added polyfill around the perimeter inside of the mirrors to hide the hardware and give a softer look to the edges. Each edge has 20 hooks to pull the net taught in an attempt to make the net as flat as possible.
